Growing up in Bedfordshire, UK, on a musical diet rich in The Beatles and Buddy Holly, Ollie loved the simplicity yet deep emotional content of their songs. This led to Ollie picking up the guitar at age 10, before moving to Coventry 3 years ago to study at the University of Warwick. In recent years, he has found a real connection with Folk/Americana music, particularly with acts like Passenger and Gregory Alan Isakov. “I love the raw emotion in their songwriting and clever lyricisms. It just makes you feel something and that’s what I adore”
Previously, as part of a duo back home, Ollie has been lucky enough to reach the finals of national music competition ‘OpenMic UK’ at the London O2 and has been twice nominated for best acoustic act and once nominated for best male artist at Cambridge NMG awards.
In 2018, Ollie supported Ronan Keating, Neville Staple Band, Hazel O'Connor, and Tony Christie on the main stage at Godiva Festival, at the time the largest free festival in the UK. Due to popular demand, Ollie then returned to the festival in 2019 to headline their acoustic stage and play their BBC stage. Ollie was also privileged to be chosen to play for Coventry's portion of Found In Music's International Busking Day.
Ollie recently released his singles 'Away' & 'Give It All' on all major retailers and his newest single, ‘Safe With Me’, premiered on 11th December, receiving praise from Hot Music Live and Reignland magazines. He is currently recording new music to be released throughout 2020, with his single 'When I Went Away' already released on 31st January.
